This lodge is located on a plain known as Ayllu de Larache, once inhabited by an ancient Atacama community, and lies just a few minutes from the village of San Pedro de Atacama and its main attractions. The original layout of the land has been preserved, restored and in some cases, the buildings have been maintained.

Three long buildings house public spaces and include an observatory where guests can discover the wonders of the universe and there are over 18,000 feet of grounds.

Explora Atacama offers over 50 different excursions, on foot, horseback or bicycle, ranging from gentle trips to more physically demanding activities. It is the only lodge in Atacama with its own horses, reared and specially trained for guests.
